Renault switched to the new Laguna for 1994 but kept the same driver line-up of Harvey and team-mate Alain Menu.
Unfortunately, Menu seem to have the legs on Harvey in the new car and by mid-season was putting in some good
results. Harvey on the other hand still floundered, with only one win to his credit. The final
results told the whole story with Harvey finishing 9th and Menu 2nd overall.
A move to Volvo for 1995 was hoped to put Harvey back at the front of the field, and if his pre-season testing performance was
anything to go by, it was to be a great year.
A good start, with a 3rd place in the 2nd round followed by two wins at the next meeting, was followed by
another 4 podium finishes during the remainder of the season, Harvey ending in a respectable 5th in the drivers table.
However, his performance was overshadowed by team-mate Rickard Rydell, who consistently out qualified
(16 poles compared to zero for Harvey) and out raced (4 wins compared to Harvey's 2) him.

Harvey's development skills were called upon again in 1996, this time by Peugeot who were introducing the new 406 into the series.
It was yet another tough year for Peugeot, still the only team not to have won a race at this level, with very few results. Harvey's 15th
position in the championship reflecting the difficult year.
For 1997, the team would run a new car built by Peugeot Sport France. They would also contract out the running and
on going development of the car to a third party (MSD) for the first time, in the hope of improving results.

This renewed effort paid dividends on
the track with Harvey taking the 406 onto the podium on two occasions, equaling the marque's best ever race result, and giving him a top
ten position in the drivers championship.
The trio of Peugoet, Harvey and MSD continued together in 1998, but a series of engine problems and unreliability put an end to any hopes of a maiden
victory. Harvey struggled all year and went home with only 10 points at the end of the season. Peugeot took home yet another wooden spoon
in the manufacturers title, and decided to withdraw from the championship after seven seasons without a win.
